COREY
Artisan Photographer
“My approach to photography is pretty simple: I aim to make people happy and put them at ease first and foremost, and then I try to create a natural and authentic atmosphere to create honest images! With a background in photojournalism, I absolutely like to focus on capturing authentic moments as they unfold, but having photographed hundreds of weddings I also know that some direction and guidance is helpful to create impactful images! I feel so fortunate to get to spend such an important day together with brides, grooms and their absolute favorite people.”
Q & A
What skill would you like to master?
Cooking! I love spending time in the kitchen, but I'd love to master some techniques and have a little more knowledge under my belt.
What would your perfect room look like?
Colorful, eclectic and welcoming. I welcome a bit of the "lived in" look, and find joy in displaying books and little mementos from our travels. I'm also definitely on the houseplant trend so the perfect room definitely has a few good plants.
How do you unwind after a hard day of work?
After a long day of work on the computer, the perfect way to unwind would be a short jog around the neighborhood. Running has always been a part of my life, it helps me clear my head and I love running through new streets and neighborhoods around town. After a wedding day though, a glass of wine on the couch with my husband is my favorite way to unwind.
What are your three favorite TV shows?
Right now my favorite shows are Mindhunter, Ozark, and maybe Big Little Lies. Definitely love Parks and Rec or 30 Rock when we need to visit an old favorite or need something lighter :)
What is your favorite place you've traveled?
My husband and I love exploring new places! It's so hard for me to choose a "favorite" necessarily, but Tokyo is a stand out for sure! Somehow so much bustle and busy but also organized and calm. We'd love to explore more of Japan if we get the chance. We honeymooned in Bali, so that has a special place in my heart! I also try to make sure I get up to Yosemite or the High Sierra's at least once a year, as much as I love the food, culture, and hustle of busy city centers, my happiest place probably is up in the mountains.
